Biography

Mr. Ewell is a co-founder of Construction Systems Group, Inc. and brings more than 40 years of experience in engineering and construction services. His primary area of expertise is building envelope systems, with a particular emphasis on moisture-proofing analysis and design.

He is widely recognized for his work in the investigation, design, and supervision of both new and remedial building envelope moisture protection projects. Mr. Ewell has managed complex projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region for commercial, industrial, institutional, and government clients, including the United States Naval Academy, National Harbor, and the National Aquarium in Baltimore. His extensive project experience includes forensic analysis, remedial design, and reconstruction of roofing systems, plaza decks, parking structures, masonry facades, foundation waterproofing systems, and curtain wall assemblies.

Mr. Ewell also leads CSG’s team of highly qualified engineers, providing the technical expertise and clear, persuasive communication required in construction litigation matters. He has significant experience as a testifying/expert witness in cases involving roofing systems, moisture intrusion, and the rehabilitation of existing structures. Numerous law firms and building owners across Maryland, Virginia, Washington, DC, and Delaware have relied on his thorough, technically sound analyses in these areas.
